Who are we
Located in sunny Carlsbad, CA, Smartville addresses the imminent retired electric vehicle battery challenge by repurposing and optimizing battery useful life. We build sustainable and scalable energy storage systems from retired EV batteries, one battery pack, one-kilowatt hour, at a time.
The Role
Smartville is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Project and Product Managers in a suite of clean energy and energy storage products and projects. This position reports to the Director of Project Management and will assist in the coordination of multiple projects and assume project management support related duties. This position will also provide overall operational support within Smartville’s business and product development teams.
Responsibilities
- Support Project and Product Managers to ensure efficient progress towards company and business goals
- Assist in the execution of projects including, but not limited to preparing, monthly reports, program/project reports, and presentations
- Provide support in grant proposal research, preparation, and submission
- Upkeep documentations, schedules and deadline for the program
- Function as liaison between company and suppliers/contractors as needed
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in engineering, business, environmental/energy policy, or transportation planning
- 2 to 3 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Excellent written, verbal, and people skills
- Ability to work as a team member or independently
- Convincing evidence of leadership skills and a can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and oversee several projects simultaneously
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to perform with the required deadlines
- Demonstrate proficiency in program/project budget management, tracking and reporting
- Understanding trends of the renewable energy and energy storage market development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project manager software.
